![]() HOME MADE KAZOKU First U.S. Concert at OTAKON
The hip hop trio of HOME MADE KAZOKU will be performing at the OTAKON convention July 30th - August 1st. This will be the bands first ever U.S. concert. Their music has been features in various anime including Bleach, Naruto Shippuuden, and Eureka 7. Beside the concert you can also expect booth appearances, autograph sessions, and photo opportunities. HOME MADE KAZOKU:
Magnificently major debuted in May 2004 by Ki/oon Records /Sony Music Entertainment Japan Inc. as being reviewed as the most upcoming artist of the year in the 2004-2005 Japanese music scenes. MICRO who is called a “SOUL RAPPER”, sings huskily and powerfully, adding KURO’s deep and whispering rap gives life to the lyrics and with U-ICHI’s DJ skills, their music become very heartwarming and catches every listener’s heart.
Their single “Thank You!!” was featured as the ending theme song on the smash-hit animation series “BLEACH”- their first step toward connecting to a worldwide audience. Leading to their first full album “ROCK THE WORLD” achieved #5 on the ORICON national chart with over 300,000 sales and amazingly spent 2 months in the BEST20s.
HOME MADE KAZOKU kept created buzz with their leading tracks featured as the theme song on many hit anime series such as “Psalms of Planets Eureka Seven” (“Shonen Heart”) and “NARUTO” (“Shooting Star”). Their 3rd album “Thank You!!” hit #5 on the ORICON chart as well. Following the 4th album “HOME” which includes the leading track “NO RAIN NO RAINBOW” (theme song of the "NARUTO SHIPPUDEN the MOVIE -Kizuna-“), Home Made Kazoku had their first head-liner tour in Japan including a sold out show at the BUDOKAN in front of more than 10,000 fans.
In March 2010, their 5th album “CIRCLE” was released in Japan and their US debut EP (digital only) will be coming this summer.
Otakon 2010 will be HOME MADE KAZOKU’s first US live performance, and the beginning of the next important chapter for this unique HIP HOP trio – LARGE, Medium, small.
